After working on a few independent films in the Los Angeles area (including Roundhouse Productions' Escaping Otis, Just Hank Productions' Loaves, and Raven Paw Productions' Bio-Freeze), I decided to write and produce my first screenplay. The role of Pete Lawson is not a far cry from the roles that I'm typically cast in (Southern redneck), but none of my characters have ever had a true element of evil such as Lawson. With a wonderful cast and crew, we shot fifteen hours of footage in eight days. Some great music came to me through Marc DeVries (himself and JoJo Kidd) and George Garcia (Rustic Soul). As a first-time filmmaker, I cannot wait to get started on my next project. While seeking a distribution deal on Split Second, I am also considering a re-write on it to pitch as a television series.
